The translation strategies of metaphors in Dee`s Supernova: the knight, the princess, and the falling star.
This study is going to analyze one of the novels which title has been mentioned above. It is a Dewi „Dee‟ Lestari‟s novel, Supernova: Ksatria, Putri, dan Bintang Jatuh, or in its translated title Supernova: The Knight, The Princess, and The Falling Star. This novel was first published in 2001 by Trudee Books. It was later translated by an Australian translator, Harry Aveling to be published by Lontar Foundation in 2011. One of the most prominent chracteristics of Dee‟s writing in this novel is the use of a fairly large numbers of figures of speech, which construct this fiction. The most dominant figure of speech employed is metaphor alongside personification and simile. The three of them are under the heading of tropes which have the nature of comparison (Keraf, 1981:136).

THE ANALYSIS OF TRANSLATION VARIATION OF SECOND PERSONAL ADDRESEE IN THE PRINCESS DIARIES 2 MOVIE
The result of the research are: The English second personal addressees are variously translated into Indonesian. The English second personal addressee in form of pronoun you is translated into Indonesian pronoun kau, anda, engkau, kamu, -mu, kalian, zero form and the different form of address. The English Names are translated into Indonesian into unchanged forms. The data are categorized into three form they are : FN (First Name), LN (Last Name) and TLN (Title Last Name). The English Titles are translated into unchange form. The data are categorized into three groups, they are Profession Title, Kin Title, and Nick Name Title. The English endearments and expressions are translated into Indonesian in similar and different senses. The accuracy of the translation of English second personal addressee from English into Indonesian is represented by three raters result. The accuracy results of this thesis are based on the raters assesment and also the percentage of the data analysis. The translation variation of Princess Diaries 2 movies can be categorized as an accurate translation.

In Bayou, they met alligator named Louise and firefly called Rays who accompanied them to see Mama Oddie – the voodoo queen of Bayou- in order to break the spell. Mama Oddie said that Prince Naveen should kiss a Princess – Charlotte, a friend of Tiana- only until midnight, when Mardi Grass over. But before they met Charlotte they faced some difficulties that is made by Dr. Pacifier, who turns Princess Naveen becomes a frog. Finally, he met Charlotte, and kissed her but he still be frog. In the end, he married to Tiana, and when he kissed her, they turned to be human and live happily ever after.

This book is a re-release of Beth Moore's first children's book. The main character struggles with the responsibilities and privileges of being a princess and not wanting to be one. She feels like she doesn't have any freedom. In this story, the princess was asked to clean her room. She couldn't understand why she had to pick up after herself. She felt like her father wasn't paying enough attention to her, because he was busy with "other" important business. The princess is so upset with his request to clean her room that she decides to disobey him. She said, "I'll show him." She disguised herself in old clothes dressed as a peasant and ran away from the castle through secret door exit. The princess enjoyed playing stickball with the other children in the muddy neighborhood streets. She was thrilled to have fun and be "just like them." Josh tries to flirt Mia in order to get popularity by having relationship with Mia. Josh says that he breaks up with Anna Fontana and tries to ask Mia to go in the Beach party. Josh expresses his request by saying "I think it'd be cool if we went together. See you on the waves?". In the conversation, the request is stated in the form of invitation so that the addressee can't refuse the request easily. The form indicates that Josh only needs an answer from Mia, whether she will say "yes" or "no". This kind of request is less polite than other form of request because it doesn't give the addressee a lot chance to refuse it. Josh hopes that he can go to the party with Mia in case if he goes there with the princess. He can be more popular as the princess' boyfriend. Mia is very excited toward Josh's request then she says "OK". Her answer indicates that she agrees to go to the beach party.

The author tries to state that there is existential process indicated by the word "there" as the subject of the clause. The clause (1) can be interpreted that the main participant is actually "a prince" who is the third personal pronoun, so the clause explains that the story is not about the author himself, instead of the other person. The finite "was" indicates that the event happens in the past time reffering to the kingdom era. The complement "a prince who wished to ma rry a princess; but then she must be a real princess" indicates the existence of the participant (a prince) in the story. The modality "must" indicates the requirement of the princess the prince wishes to marry as this type of modality has meaning as high obligation.
